The Mandala is a beautiful, intricate pattern originally used as a meditation technique in India & South Eat Asia. It now also describes an emerging style of Yoga. Working through the layers of the body and circling the mat with movement we aim to reach complete wholeness, which is what the mandala symbolises.
Each Mandala looks different to another, much like human beings.
Mandala Yoga is a fairly new and ever growing style of Yoga where we circle the mat facing all four directions throughout the practice.
When we begin we take note of how we feel, physically, mentally and emotionally. Then by the time we circle back to the top of the mat we feel lighter, softer, brighter and clearer.
During this workshop we will incorporate the fundamental attributes of a mandala sequence to our physical practice then enjoy a mandala themed visualisation relaxation.
This style of Yoga has proved popular with many people and I have found that it's a great way to encompass all of what we think and feel on our Yoga mats.
Prior booking is essential as spaces are limited.
