Yoga is an ancient Indian practice so from time to time you may hear an odd word like 'Paschimotanasana'. In most cases it's just the traditional name of the pose. The important one is 'Namaste' (pronounced Na-Ma-Stay)- We say this at the end of every practice and it simply means "The divine in me honours the divine in you". It is respectful to repeat it after the teacher to show your appreciation to the practice.
It is traditional in my lineage of teaching to also complete a class with a sanskrit mantra, this is purely for you to enjoy.
